Quickstart Faculty Office Hours

Faculty can use Microsoft Bookings to provide an easy way for students to book appointments for office hours. Bookings allows you to specify availability, create services for each class you are teaching in a term, and integrates with your Office 365/Outlook calendar.

1. To begin, navigate to https://link.tcc.fl.edu/OfficeHours/Faculty.  Click the link “Create your Office Hours Booking page.”

2. Once your Bookings page is successfully created, there are some additional steps that will need to be completed before your page can be published. Click the link “Click here to go to your Bookings Dashboard.”

3. On the Bookings Dashboard, from the Bookings menu, click Business Information.

4. From the Business Information page, you will need to set the hours you are available for faculty office hours.  To create multiple time slots per day, click the “+”, and to remove click the “x”.

5. Once you have your hours set, click Save.

6. Next, you will need to link events from your Office 365/Outlook Calendar.  This will prevent students from being able to schedule a meeting if you already have another meeting scheduled at the same time.  From the Bookings menu, click Staff and then click on your name.

7. In the Staff Details window, click the box next to “Events on Office calendar affect availability” then click Save.

8. Lastly, you will need to set your time zone.  From the Bookings menu, click Booking Page and then click “Change language and time zone settings.”

9. Under Current time zone, select “(UTC-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada)”

10. At the top of the page, click Save and publish

11. Once your page has been successfully published, you will see the following confirmation.
