What to know about the Career Services - Top Tips

1.  Walk-in Thursdays.  Know a student who needs a résumé or job search assistance?  Send them to the Career Center on Thursday’s from 9am-1pm to receive immediate assistance with anything related to professional development.
  
2.  Career Coaching & Counseling. Refer your student to a one-on-one career coaching or counseling session. This will help them understand their values, interests, personality and skills to develop a successful career plan.
 
3. Internship Program. Is your student looking to get one foot in the professional door?  An internship can allow students to explore a career field from the inside, develop professionalism, acquire new skills and network with seasoned professionals.
 
4Job Fairs. The Career Center brings employers to campus, who are looking to hire TCC students and alumni. Currently, we host two Job Fairs in the spring and one in the fall semester. For Job Fair details, please visit TCC Futurelink
 
5. Resumania. Students who attend Resumania will have their résumé critiqued by Career Center Staff and walk away with a polished, professional résumé for employers to see.
 
6. FutureLink & Job Search Assistance. Students should begin their job search at the Career Center website.  Their second step will be applying for jobs with our online job board, FutureLink. Employers wanting to hire TCC students and alumni post positions in FutureLink. With FutureLink, students can access an enhanced resume builder, job postings, virtual mock interviews and much more.
