Academic Advising provides students with information and skills that enable them to critically assess their goals, develop a comprehensive plan of study that culminates in certification, licensure, and/or graduation, create a schedule for progressing through the plan, and monitor the results of that plan.

New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation provides information that helps new students by answering questions and providing guidance in order to begin their TCC experience. New Student Orientation at TCC is not an in-person program. The Orientation module is available in the summer months and accessible through the Canvas learning system. All new students have this pre-loaded in their Canvas dashboard.

Academic Advising

Academic advisers can assist in this process by helping the student understand options, determine resources and, when necessary, identify alternatives.
